Replacing Smiles with Quality Care
Do you have gaps in your smile? If you’re missing some or all of your teeth, this problem can not only affect your appearance, but it can have an impact on your day-to-day life as well. Thankfully, Dr. Tyler B. Schaffeld offers custom-made full, partial, and implant-retained dentures to give his patients the best solution for their specific needs. Experienced and educated in restoring teeth with dentures, he is ready to complete the smiles of his Enterprise, Wallowa, and Joseph patients.
Types of Dentures
Dr. Schaffeld offers three different types of dentures, and he will recommend the best option for you once he has examined your smile and discussed your personal needs. The number of teeth that you’re missing will be the main deciding factor for the type of denture that works best for you.
Partial dentures are custom-made prosthetics that are designed to complete smiles for those who are missing multiple teeth. Kind of like missing puzzle pieces, we can personalize your partials to replace the various gaps in your smile. Partial dentures are typically held in place with discreet metal wires that attach to natural dental structure.
Full dentures have been used for hundreds of years to restore smiles. Thankfully, our dentures are more technologically advanced than those used in the past, allowing for a lighter, more flexible denture. This creates a comfortable wearing experience. These full dentures are held in place with suction or adhesive and they are completely removeable for easy cleaning.
Combining the best of both worlds, we can use dental implants to support full dentures. This allows us to replace all of your missing teeth with the stability, strength, and health benefits of dental implants. With an average of four strategically placed dental implants, we can anchor your denture into your jawbone for the most secure replacement available.
The Benefits of Dentures
If you’re missing teeth, it’s important to replace them for aesthetic and health reasons. Here are some of the biggest advantages that you’ll receive when replacing your teeth with dentures:
- Appearance: Enjoy a full set of teeth once more, allowing you to smile, speak, and laugh in public.
- Confidence: With a full smile, you can attend events and eat without worrying about your appearance.
- Diet: Without teeth, many patients have to limit their diet, which can affect their overall health. Dentures allow you to eat more foods, giving you necessary nutrition.
- Hygiene: Because they are completely removeable, cleaning and maintaining your dentures is easy! That means you can have a white set of teeth for years to come.
